By taking a team approach and individualizing patient care, we are able to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of all manifestations of heart disease such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, and heart failure. At Englewood Hospital, North Jersey’s top cardiologists, surgeons, electrophysiologists, emergency medicine personnel, cardiac rehabilitation specialists, and Magnet Award-winning nurses work together to offer a wide range of services that deliver the highest level of comprehensive cardiac care to our patients.
Program Highlights:
According to the Center for Medicare Services (CMS), Englewood Hospital’s 30-day mortality rate for heart attack patients was significantly better than the national average cited by the Medicare study. The study found that heart attack patients with Medicare coverage who received treatment at Englewood Hospital had a better chance of surviving over a 30-day period than those treated at any other hospital in New Jersey.Englewood Hospital, a leading center for the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, acquired the Sensei® robot in 2008, and became the first facility in New Jersey to offer this technology for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. Our CT Angiography Center utilizes a state-of the-art 64-slice detection scanner – the first scanner fast enough to accurately reveal blockages in the coronary arteries. Our center is one of the few which has computerized reporting and routine correlation with invasive angiographic data which enables doctors to begin treatment before problems occur.
